Please visit me in my garden, among the flowers and weeds, as I carve out a little patch of heaven in this rainy Pacific Northwest. I hope to share with you some of the joys, the triumphs, the techniques I learn along the way, and maybe some favourite garden recipes and art projects, too.

Today was rainy, the kids are still on Spring Break, and having been away on business for the last week, I tried to spend some time playing with them.
Inevitably, since I am a project-oriented person, I get them started on a project, and then they are off playing long before I finish it. This time, we attempted a Knight's helmet from the Usborne Activities "Knights and Castles things to make and do" book.
Here is my brave princess, in her helmet. Looks pretty good, even before decorating it:
She reminds me of that great scene from Lord of the Rings:
Death Rider: No man can kill me! Eowyn: [pulling off her helmet] I am no man! [Kills him.]
